With the full flavour of nature
The origins of our “O Mazo” brand lies in Granja
San Lorenzo, a farm that began operating some 25 years ago.
Its aim was to achieve optimum quality and control in the
breeding of pigs.
Our closed-cycle farms (producing and selecting breeding
stock, breeding and feeding suckling pigs) are equipped with
state of the art technology that allows us to control both
the feeding of our pigs and their health. This enables us
to produce meat of the highest quality, with an emphasis always
on the importance and the careful handling of natural food
products.
Granja San Lorenzo is registered with an officially authorised
as a producer by the Galician Pork Regulatory Council.
Cárnicos Río S.L. was set up in 1990 in order
to bring all the group’s activities together, and became,
in the process, a key player in the Galician meat sector.
As an indication of the high quality standards that we set
for ourselves right from the outset, we carry out the processing
of parts and products every day at our facilities. This allows
us to offer the consumer a product that has been prepared
in the best sanitary conditions where food hygiene is a priority.
These developments gave us the opportunity to expand our facilities
significantly in 1996. These facilities have been officially
approved in line with EU regulations.
